The Obsession Behind the Brand
Not a business model.
An obsession.
ROCHE + LISSE is not the result of a corporate laboratory, a venture-backed startup, or a calculated business model. What drives us is a deeply personal obsession with the tactile chemistry of our private spaces.
It all started when we were designing our own project. We were searching for a bath that felt like a sculpture — something with the raw, commanding gravity of natural stone, yet possessing an impossibly smooth, warm, and inviting surface.
What we found instead was compromise. The market was flooded with commonplace, mass-produced fixtures that felt cold and hollow. The sanctuary of the home — the most intimate space we inhabit — was being treated as an afterthought of plumbing, rather than a monument to personal ritual.

The Meaning of the Name
ROCHE + LISSE
ROCHE
/rɔʃ/ — French for "rock"
The permanent, textured foundation of natural stone. It represents gravity, architecture, and enduring structural strength.
LISSE
/lis/ — French for "smooth"
The flawless, mirror-smooth glide of liquid form. It represents flow, comfort, and sensory grace.

Because the material we dreamed of didn't exist, we had to invent it.
At the core of our collection is Lisse Stone™, a proprietary, bio-based mineral composite. By fusing high-density natural mineral compounds with advanced, plant-derived resins, we created a material that retains the dense, cool weight of solid stone, but is refined into an impossibly smooth, non-porous finish with exceptional thermal properties.
